I love the outdoors and enjoy visiting the local forests here in Utah every chance I get. I took my oldest son Cutler, who just turned 8, with me on a hunting trip this past weekend. d over at him and he was holding his neck and howling in pain. I didn't know what to think until I lifted his backpack off of his shoulders and discovered a bee crawling out of the neck of his shirt. Sure enough my little man had been stung right in the back of the neck. I thought to myself no problem; I have an oil for that! We have used lavender essential oil multiple times on bee stings and mosquito bites, the stinging goes away within seconds so I knew he would be okay. I got into my pack where I always have my oils and realized I didn't have them with me for some reason. This was a problem, by now Cutler was crying even louder and harder than ever, scaring every elk away from here to Hiawatha. I didn't know what to do, and then I remembered something, in my hunting pants pocket I carry a bottle of doTERRA's white fir essential oil. What better way to help with a headache, sore muscles, or even a cough when you are hunting than using something that makes you smell like the trees you are hunting in. I LOVE THIS STUFF! I will even find myself using as a cover scent while on a hunting trip. Every sportsman needs this in their packs. I put two drops on his neck right over the sting and rubbed it gently into his skin. Guess what happened! Within a minute he had stopped crying, it worked! About 5 minutes passed and he asked me for a little more of the “tree oil”, I placed another drop on it and I never heard anything about the bee sting again.
